Widely spread,the Nature Wushu of Zhang Sanfeng is said to be passed down in a direct line from Master Zhang Sanfeng.It differs from the other Wushu branches of Wudang School for its art-stressing ideology and direct-striking style.
Taiji Duanhuang Zhang is passed down from Liu Miaoyuan,the 23th master in chief of Nature Branch, Wudang School.
The main aim of Taiji Duanhuang Zhang is to utilize the practitioners own circulation of the moves to destroy that of the opponent, moving along with his force and breaking his arms.This set of Wushu requires flexible footwork and contains Sanshou arts,like push, touch, cut offf and hit,which keeps the movements in a constant change and enables the practitionesrs to be unbeatable.
As the song goes, "Duanhuang Zhang sweeps across north and south, flaunting its superiority among the Wushu world. With grasp of the moves, you are eased both in attack and defense".
